Pool Renovation and Remodeling Concepts

January 15th, 2016 | By: Mitchell Knapp | Pool Design Blog

Like well built homes, a well-built pool which is meant to last for years, and sometimes even decades, inevitably will need some extra attention. Whether it is some remodeling or re-coping needed, or a full pool renovation, it takes a qualified and experienced staff to get the job done. Often times we will see new homeowners, who are taking over an existing swimming pool on the property. From restructuring changes needed for safety purposes or to preference and cosmetic changes, we are able to assist in the pool renovation process.

What many people do not realize, is a pool renovation is a more challenging project to be brought on. Being able to start fresh on a blank slate and design and build a swimming pool to our own parameters is ideal. A pool renovation creates many challenges and obstacles, constraining us to work within the structure that has already been implemented. Especially, being brought into an existing swimming pool that was built poorly and took short cuts in the building process. Homeowners end up spending more money in the long run, correcting wrongs, rather than paying a reputable company to have the swimming pool built up to code in the first place.

The pool industry is forever advancing, gaining new technologies, chemical-free options, LED lighting, apps and more creative materials every year. In order to keep up with the changing times and maintain a swimming pool that is best for you and your family, often times these changes and updates to your swimming pool will come into play.

Simple Pool Renovation Ideas and Inspiration

There are simple and cost effective ways to also liven up and add some creative features to your existing one. For example, adding a diving rock or sun deck adds a new element of enjoyment and entertainment to your pool. Built in umbrella holes can also be added to the sun deck, with water resistant lounge chairs you create the perfect relaxation spot. Changing the lights in your pool to LED with color adds a fun nighttime element to your swimming pool as well. For more ideas and assistance with the pool renovation process please reach out to us. We are here to help bring your existing pool to its highest level of functionality and enjoyment.
